Kori Bustard Ardeotis kori IUCN least concern
The kori bustard is one of the heaviest flying birds in the world weighing up to 40 pounds. A ground dwelling bird the kori prefers dry grasslands and open savannas. Normally silent both sexes will emit a loud bark when alarmed or threatened. The male will also make a booming call during its courtship display as seen below.
