Cacatuoidea- Cockatoos

The superfamily Cacatuoidea consist of only one family Cacatuidae. This family is restricted to Southeast Asia and Australia There are twenty-one species of cockatoos. In addition the the large curved beak that all psittacines possess cockatoos can be recognized by a moveable crest.The smallest of the cockatoos is the familiar cockatiel and the largest is the palm cockatoo.
