Halcyonidae- Kingfishers Kookaburras

The Halcyonidae is a family of birds which are found in the oldd World..The family is made up of  be tween 50 and 60 species of kingfishers. Known as Tree or wood kingfishers this is one of three families of kingfishers. Unlike the other kingfishers tree king fishers are not specialized fish eaters, eating other small vertebrates.
